Signs of Spring

The signs are irrefutable… Spring is on the way.
- The spring peepers filling the valley with their nightly chorus.
- The marsh marigolds on the edge of bursting forth with yellow.
- The primordial-looking skunk cabbages emerging everywhere.
- Farmers cultivating their fields.
- A pair of Sandhill Cranes nesting in the valley.
- Geese and ducks nesting on the pond.
- Lastly, Willy chomping at the bit to romp in the spring mud!

How could I be so insensitive? I’ve added a seventh sign of spring based on your comment.

The farm and pond look lovely. What a nice place for an escape. The woods in my out yard have puffed up with green and I’m loving the whole springosity of it all (yes, I make up my own words as needed).
