Signs of Spring

The signs are irrefutable… Spring is on the way.

1. The spring peepers filling the valley with their nightly chorus.
2. The marsh marigolds on the edge of bursting forth with yellow.
3. The primordial-looking skunk cabbages emerging everywhere.
4. Farmers cultivating their fields.
5. A pair of Sandhill Cranes nesting in the valley.
6. Geese and ducks nesting on the pond.
7. Lastly,  Willy chomping at the bit to romp in the spring mud!
